Grey’s delicate vocals and affectionate lyrics combine to make a flawless production of synergetic sounds. At only 22 years old, he is an independent artist, producer, singer-songwriter, and guitarist. Grey grew up listening to John Meyer, and has similar instrumental influences within his music combining R&B and Pop melodies. Other artists that inspire him are Tom Misch, Mac Ayres, and Berhana. In regards to the relatable message behind the song, Grey states:
“The song is about being emotional and letting one’s own feelings cause you to lash out. It is also about being your own head and reading into things that aren’t there. I wrote, produced and performed everything in the track.”
